​​​Their Majesties The King and Queen will undertake State Visits to the Holy See and the Republic of Italy - incorporating Rome and Ravenna - from 7th – 10th April 2025. 

Their Majesties’ programmes are designed to celebrate the U.K.’s warm bilateral relationship with each country.

​The Visit to Italy will underscore the depth and breadth of the bilateral relationship: our defence relationship including in the current international context; our shared values, history and culture; our work together on the clean energy transition; and the links between our peoples and communities.

​The Visit to the Holy See will be an historic visit in the year of the Papal Jubilee, and will mark a significant step forward in relations between the Catholic Church and Church of England with a special service in the Sistine Chapel, joining hands in a celebration of ecumenism, and of the work The King and The Pope have done over many years on climate and Nature.

​Le Loro Maestà il Re e la Regina effettueranno una Visita di Stato presso la Santa Sede e l’Italia, che includerà Roma e Ravenna, dal 7 al 10 aprile 2025.

​I programmi della visita sono stati messi a punto per celebrare i buoni rapporti bilaterali del Regno Unito con entrambi i Paesi.

La Visita in Italia sottolineerà la profondità e l’ampiezza della relazione bilaterale: la nostra cooperazione in materia di difesa, alla luce dell’attuale contesto internazionale; i nostri valori, la storia e la cultura condivisi; il lavoro congiunto sulla transizione all’energia pulita e i legami tra i nostri popoli e le comunità.

La Visita presso la Santa Sede sarà un evento storico, nell’anno del Giubileo Papale, e segnerà un significativo passo avanti nelle relazioni tra la Chiesa Cattolica e la Chiesa d’Inghilterra, con una funzione speciale nella Cappella Sistina che unirà la celebrazione dell’ecumenismo al lavoro che da molti anni il Re e il Papa fanno sul clima e sulla natura.
