This programme will also feature messages from members of the Royal Family as well as musical performances and readings from around the Commonwealth.
The theme for the day, 'Delivering a Common Future'.

On the occasion of Commonwealth Day 2021, I would like to extend my warm greetings to all the members of the Commonwealth Club of Rome. As a member of the Commonwealth family, we feel deeply connected with the activities which are aimed at promoting bonding among the people and nationalities within the group. Bangladesh looks forward to contributing to this year’s Commonwealth theme – 'Delivering a Common Future' – highlighting how the 54 member countries in the Commonwealth family are ‘innovating, connecting and transforming’ to help achieve some of its biggest goals, like fighting climate change, promoting good governance and boosting trade. I congratulate the Commonwealth Club of Rome for their commendable initiative to provide a platform to share where members from Commonwealth countries and others can meet and exchange ideas of common interest.
On a personal note, I look forward to meeting all the Ambassadors representing Commonwealth countries here in Italy, once the covid-19 situation improves.

Thank you, Ambassador - and welcome to Italy! Over three postings in Commonwealth countries (my last as a High Commissioner), I have learnt much about what a special and valuable community the Commonwealth is. It is deserving that it be recognised. Happy Commonwealth Day to us all!
